"Bob Brinley started distilling rum on the island of St. Kitts in 1986, naming his company Shipwreck after an actual shipwreck of a British troop transport ship just off St. Kitts in 1782. The sinking of the ship most likely took place during a famous sea-battle when Admiral Rodney defeated the French under DeGrasse.In 2002, Brinleys son joined the family business. The Father-Son team now has 30 years experience making.
